OCTOBER
So, Vander wakes up in a new world, and after clawing his way out of the earth, he learns that not only might his home be gone, but that he'd apparently been dead for years from the pov of the other ex-residents of Runeterra. He wrestles with that while he gets a feel for the two major cities. And it goes good, at first. Makes some new friends, has a few emotional reunions--but then one reunion bucks that trend. A chance meeting with Silco in the Highstorm markets turns into a fight, and Vander comes out victorious by taking his life right there in public. And when Jinx swoops in to retrieve his Shard, it shatters all hope he had of bridging the years-long gap his death back home had put between them. The event galvanizes his decision to throw his lot in with Meridian.
